It has been a heart-breaking day! What we thought was a touch of pink-eye ended up being a tumour and poor Butterscotch, our mommy guinea Pig went to Guinea Pig heaven. The girls have reacted in the traditional fashion with Erin too upset to discuss it – refusing to attend the funeral and Caitlyn digging the hole and kissing Butterscotch goodbye? I feel like stomping my feet and throwing a first class tantrum. (Why does this always happen when Dave is away?) When the vet was explaining to us the situation tears were coursing down my cheeks, Erin trembling, Caitlyn sniffing, even the vet was crying – Why do these little creatures hold such a special place in our hearts? Who knows – but we will truly miss her "REET REET REET". 🙁
