We have been having some gorgeous winter days. Yes they have been -15 Celsius, -20 Celsius and more (friggin' cold in Fahrenheit for my American Friends 😉 but the frosts have been unbelievable. For people like me I leap out of bed like a kid at Christmas for a sunrise hike to capture the sun glistening off the trees. Beautiful! It is a rather zen like way to start the day before I have to begin negotiating with kids that think they will be too hot if they wear Hats, Mitts, snowpants, scarves etc. Really, do I need to have this argument EVERY morning of Winter. Tenacious monkeys! Do they really think that if they ask for the 45th time they will wear me down or trick me? Keeps me on my toes for certain.

I found these footsteps on the front porch. I think it was part of a plan to prove that it is not too cold outside…… It was -17 degrees. As I said: determined and tenacious.
You should always look up – if you spend all of your time looking straight ahead you will miss some of the best stuff!

Amazing Pictures Patty – Geoff drove the kids school this morning and he said that he wished he had a camera because it was such a beautiful morning – Great job! I hope that you did however wear boots!
